Find the right investor audience first. Then prepare to pitch with confidence.
InvestorMap is a staged investor process from Futuremap. We help founders, business owners and management teams find the right investors, approach them properly, and prepare to pitch with confidence — in the right order. Most businesses seeking investment do it the hard way round: they buy a database subscription and cold-email names, or spend on a polished pitch deck, before they know which investors actually fit the opportunity. We start by finding and approaching the right investor audience, then help you prepare to pitch that audience.

What sets InvestorMap apart
Futuremap removes the burden of finding and approaching relevant investors. We have spent years building and refining our investor contact base across the UK and internationally. Importantly, we do not simply hold a list of investor names. We work to understand each investor's real investment criteria — the sectors, stages, deal sizes and types of opportunity they are most likely to consider. That is what lets us build a targeted shortlist against your specific investment requirement, rather than handing you a directory and leaving the outreach to you.
The value of InvestorMap is the combination of what we do: investor research, targeted shortlisting, a managed investor approach, initial-contact management and pitch-readiness coaching. It is not simply a document. A database of names is not the same as investor matching, and a pitch deck matters only once you know who the investor audience is and what that audience needs to understand.
- Targeted matching, not a database dump. We match your opportunity to relevant investors by real criteria.
- A managed investor approach. We approach suitable investors on your behalf, present the opportunity and manage initial contact.
- UK & international reach. Our investor contact base spans both markets.
- Pitch-ready when it counts. Once there is a genuine investor audience to prepare for, we coach you to present clearly and confidently.
The process
How InvestorMap works
A staged engagement. Each stage only follows the last where it makes sense to continue.
Assess
01 / 12
How InvestorMap works — the three stages
Stage 1 — Free initial assessment
We consider whether your business has a credible investable proposition and whether InvestorMap is likely to be the right route for you. There is no cost for this stage.
Stage 2 — Business Review & Teaser Pitch (£995)
Where there is a fit, the first paid stage begins. We review the business, create a concise teaser pitch, and match your funding requirement against our UK and international investor database. We build a targeted shortlist, approach suitable investors on your behalf, present the opportunity, manage the initial contact process and test for genuine investor interest. This is a serious, investor-facing piece of work — not a standalone appetite test.
Stage 3 — Pitch Deck Review & One-to-One Pitch Coaching (£3,495)
Where genuine investor interest is shown, the process moves into pitch preparation. At this point we know there is a real investor audience to prepare for. We review your existing pitch deck, recommend improvements, refine how the opportunity is presented, and work with you one-to-one so you can deliver the pitch clearly and confidently — with and without the deck. This stage includes likely investor-question preparation and up to two recorded dry-run sessions with feedback and refinement. Additional coaching can be added if required.
A success fee of 5% of the investment value applies only if investment is successfully secured.

InvestorMap is structured so each stage has a clear purpose and a clear cost. We start with a free initial assessment to consider whether your business has a credible investable proposition and whether InvestorMap is likely to be the right route.
If there is a fit, the first paid stage is the Business Review and Teaser Pitch. For £995, we review your business, create the teaser pitch, match your requirement against our investor database in the UK and internationally, build a targeted shortlist, and approach suitable investors on your behalf — presenting the opportunity, managing initial contact, and testing for genuine investor interest.
The InvestorMap process is designed as a staged engagement. Where genuine investor interest is shown, the process moves into the next stage: pitch deck review and one-to-one pitch coaching.

Business Review and Teaser Pitch Creation
We review your business and create a concise teaser pitch designed to present the opportunity clearly to potential investors.
We then match your funding requirement against our investor database across the UK and internationally, identifying investors whose criteria appear aligned with your sector, stage, funding need and opportunity.
Once the investor shortlist has been created, we approach suitable investors on your behalf, present the opportunity, manage the initial contact process, and test for genuine investor interest.
This is the first paid stage of a staged engagement — not a standalone appetite test.

Pitch Deck Review and One-to-One Pitch Coaching
Where genuine investor interest is shown, we move into preparation for the investor conversation.
We review your existing pitch deck and recommend improvements based on the investor audience now in view.
We then work with you one-to-one on how to deliver the pitch clearly and confidently.
This includes practising how to present both with and without the deck, helping you sharpen the message, answer likely investor questions, and communicate the opportunity in a way that feels natural and credible.
This stage includes up to two recorded dry-run sessions with feedback and refinement. Additional pitch coaching can be added if required.

Frequently asked questions
Is the initial assessment really free?
Yes. The initial assessment is free and helps us both decide whether there is a credible investable proposition and whether InvestorMap is the right route. If there is a fit, the first paid stage is the £995 Business Review & Teaser Pitch.
What do I get for the £995 stage?
Business review, teaser pitch creation, investor matching against our UK and international database, a targeted shortlist, a managed approach to suitable investors, presentation of the opportunity, initial-contact management and testing for genuine investor interest. It is the first paid stage of a staged engagement, not a one-off appetite test.
Do you guarantee investment or investor interest?
No. We identify relevant investors, approach suitable investors on your behalf and test for genuine interest. Where genuine investor interest is shown, the process moves into pitch preparation.
Isn't a database subscription cheaper?
A list of names is not the same as investor matching or a managed approach. We research investor criteria, build a targeted shortlist, make the approach for you and manage initial contact.
